Hey, I have a request: could you guys add the ability to snapshot Look and Feel settings as “themes”, and then save that theme along with the skin somehow? It would make life a lot easier for those of us who bother to coordinate L&F settings with our skins!
or what about offering skinnable versions of the comments page? would that be better?
YES!
Of course, if the goal is consistent look and feel, then the same skinning ought to carry over to the private home page as well, right?
it’s like you all took those thoughts right out of my mind. eerie cuz just the other day, i was searching all xanga for other skins. i kept typing in “skins” in the xanga search, but it didnt produce anything. so then i started to randomly search xanga….still nothing. so this is great! cant wait to see others…Melissa
Question: will we be able to go back and modify a skin after we submit it to the directory?
as of now, you won’t be able to modify the skin, but you can resubmit it… or just talk to us, we can swap the skin out for you
A skinnable comments page is something we plan to offer in the rewrite John mentioned on his site.
skinning of the private page is a tricky one!
the private page is more than just a pretty page – it’s a pretty intricate UI. if we applied to a skin to it, I’d worry that we’d get a million emails asking where all the features went!
I promise I won’t email you about it if you implement it!

How do i use a skin that Ive gotten from someone but editted it a little? its saved on my site, but the old one is still there.
